In west Eugene, Irwin Park offers 7.8 acres of fun and leisure activities, including: a children’s playground, picnic area with shelter, softball/baseball field, soccer field, walking trails, and natural areas. Other special features include park lighting and over 200 trees. The north end of the park showcases a joint Parks and Public Works Engineering project to reduce flooding problems in the neighborhood while enhancing water quality and wildlife habitat.
